April 20, 2021The next day after the pandemic in investments and markets under the influence of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) indicators by the Hellenic Alumni Association of the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (HAALSE)
What is the next day in investment after the pandemic? How will the market, businesses, investors operate globally? The new landscape in investment and business under the influence of ESG criteria as well as the Sustainable Development Goals is the topic of the webinar organised by HAALSE on Tuesday, 30 March from 6.30pm to 8pm live via YouTube and Facebook.
The pandemic, the first "sustainability crisis" of the 21st century, is acting as a catalyst for the adoption and implementation of ESG criteria, leading to substantial changes in the way businesses, investors and the market as a whole operate. In particular, the pandemic has confirmed that companies are not just economic units, therefore the use of exclusively financial criteria in assessing their performance is incomplete. Concepts such as green growth, the circular economy, respect for human rights, protection of stakeholders' interests, inclusion and diversity come to fill these gaps, claiming equal weight with financial indicators.
This new framework that is being created in the global market and which will affect after the pandemic all businesses and organizations operating in our country, will be the focus of the discussion that HAALSE is organizing with representatives of the political, business and academic world. Speakers at the webinar will be:
κ. Mr. Yannis Tsakiris, Deputy Minister of Development and Investment,
Yannis Yannis Yannis, President of the Board of Directors, CSR Hellas and Member of the Board of Directors, CSR Europe,
Lillian Nektariou, Franchise Country Director Greece, Cyprus, Malta - Coca-Cola Hellas
