February 27, 2020The Hellenic Alumni Association of LSE is holding on Wednesday 24 February at 19.00 the live Webinar entitled: "A first introduction to the wine and the vineyard of Greece."
The presenter of the Webinar will be Wine Communicator and fellow alumni Theo "Ted" Lelekas and the moderator will be HAALSE Vice President Theo Kalambokis.
Theo "Ted" Lelekas graduated from LSE in 1993 with a BSc in Social Psychology and in 1994 with an MSc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.
He is ranked among the 20 most influential Wine Influencers on social media globally. He has previously been voted the most influential Wine Influencer in Greece and has served as Vice President of the International Federation of Wine and Spirits Journalists, among others. He is co-founder of the successful e-shops,
Today he is Brand Ambassador of Moët Hennessy in Central and Southern Europe.
The event will include the tasting of 4 wines that are representative samples of the native varieties - ambassadors of the Greek Vineyard. Participating graduates of our University can optionally purchase the wines in a special package containing 4 bottles of 187ml, a brochure with explanatory information, a pad for wine notes and a pen, at the friendly price of 25 euros (+ 5 euros shipping costs) from a selected supplier, offered by our lecturer and fellow student Theo "Ted" Lelekas.
The supplier is Cinque Wine Delights. Orders for shipping can be placed by phone at 2114108865, while anyone wishing to pick up the special package from the shop, located at 10 Vorou Street, in the center of Athens. This offer is exclusively available to graduates of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
The webinar will be attended via the zoom platform. Participants will be able to send their questions in the chat and they will be forwarded to the presenter by the event moderator.
