The vote of Greeks abroad: All the implications |3 December 2019

Highlights from the highly topical event - discussion organized on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, by the Hellenic Alumni Association on "The vote of Greeks abroad: All the implications", with speakers including LSE graduate Christos Dimas, Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Member of Parliament for Corinthia with New Democracy, LSE graduate Nadia Giannakopoulou, Member of Parliament B2 West Sector of Athens with the Movement for Change and Panagiotis Doudonis, Lecturer of Oriel College and Lt. Dr. Papandreou Doudoinis, Lecturer of the Faculty of Law and Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Oxford.

The fact that the relevant bill has been submitted for discussion and voting in the Greek Parliament, added great interest to the evening and after the speeches, followed a lively dialogue with the audience with many comments and questions from fellow members and friends of our Association.

The event, which took place in the beautiful City Campus of BCA College, was hosted by fellow alumni and member of the Board of Directors of our Association, Harry Daskalakis, and was attended by, among others, three former Presidents of the Hellenic Alumni Association of LSE: Dimitris Paraskevas, Athena Markomichelaki and Nikos Sofianos.
