Dr. Eleni Doundoulaki

President, MSc in Culture and Society (2004)


Eleni is a Τheatrologist and a Cultural Policy and Administration Consultant. She is appointed as a Teaching Fellow at the Theatre Studies Department of the University of Athens and Consultant on Artistic Fields at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation. Since 2004 she has collaborated with various state and private cultural organizations. From 2010 to 2014 she has been the Artistic Director of the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Central Greece (Roumeli). She regularly participates in Greek and international cultural fora (Ι.C.O.M., I.T.I. – UNESCO, Opera Europa a.o.). From 2006 to 2014 she served Local Government in the Municipalities of Psychiko and Filothei-Psychico as elected Municipal Councilor, Αppointed Councilor for Cultural Affairs and Vice-Mayor. Eleni graduated from Athens College. She holds a PhD from the University of Athens. She also holds, among others, a BA in Theatre Studies from the University of Athens (distinction), an MA in Cultural Policy and Administration from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Culture and Society from the LSE.

Prof. Dr. Haris Lambropoulos

Vice President, Ph.D. in Economics (1990)


Haris is elected faculty member (Assistant Professor with tenure in the field of Human Resource and Education Economics) at the University of Patras. He is also Counsellor elected (member of the Board of Directors) of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), actively participating in a variety of activities to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and business and human resources development. Also, he is President of the Institute of ACCI and of the Union of Hellenic Chambers, Chief Counsel, Mentor and Coach of The Athens Startup Business Incubator (THEA), Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce National Committee for Greece – ICC (Hellas), Council Member of the National Council for Education and Development of Human Resources (ESEKAAD) of the Ministry of Education, Secretary of the Attica Regional Research & Innovation Council etc. He has acted as Principal Consultant of the World Bank; Adviser to the Ministers of -Education, -Tourism Development and -Health & Social Solidarity, as well as, served as top executive, member of the Board of Directors and advisor in various companies, funds, organizations and foundations in the private and the public sector in Greece and abroad. Ηe has participated in official missions abroad as well as in various committees on a national, European, and international level; recipient of various distinctions and scholarships, having extensive voluntary social work and active involvement in public affairs.

Thanos Balasopoulos

Treasurer, MSc in International Health Policy & Health Economics (2013)


Thanos is a Health Economist, holding a BSc in Economics from the University of Athens and an MSc in International Health Policy & Health Economics from the LSE. Thanos is currently with a multinational consulting firm and his main responsibilities affiliate with the field of Health Policy and Pharmaceutical Market. In the past he had been working as a Health Economist Researcher at the Greek National School of Public Health and as a Research Fellow in the Greek Parliament. Thanos has several publications and presentations in Conferences. He is active in HAALSE since 2014, initially involved via the Health Policy Think Tank and then as a coordinator of the HAALSE Think Tanks. He is elected a member of the HAALSE BoD since 2016.

Harris Daskalakis

Member - Career Officer, MSc in European Law & Governance (2004)


Harris is the executive Director of BCA Global Education Ltd., which owns and operates the International School of Athens, BCA College and Athens Tech College and he is the founder of the first private college of technology in Greece, Athens Tech College, as well as an e-learning production unit labelled “e-ducation”, specializing in the production of educational films, e-books and educational platforms. Harris holds a BSc degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (Cum Laude), from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a MSc degree in European Law and Governance from the London School of Economics.

Anastasia Vaki

Member – Communications Manager, MSc in Media, Communications & Development (2012)


Anastasia graduated from the LSE in 2012 with an MSc in Media, Communication & Development after completing a Bachelor’ Degree in Philosophy, French language and Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She then remained in London, working in the field of press and media relations. After a traineeship in the Press Office of the Greek Embassy of Greece in London and an experience as a Marketing & PR Consultant for a London based non-governmental organization, she moved back to Athens and currently works as a Corporate Communications Manager for major multinational companies in the Telco and FMCG sectors. She was elected a member of the HAALSE BoD in 2018.
