We are thrilled to announce that Debate House will host its first ever international event- a milestone moment for our organisation.
This debate is a co-hosted event with the LSE Hellenic Alumni Association, a distinguished network of LSE graduates dedicated to promoting academic excellence, public dialogue, and Hellenic engagement across the globe.
We are equally honoured to collaborate with the Hellenic Observatory of the London School of Economics, one of Europe’s most prestigious research centres, internationally recognised for its influential work on political economy, public policy, and Southeast European studies.
With the generous support of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation U.K., and the valued contributions of Debate London and our partner Deliberate, this event brings together an exceptional level of academic, civic, and public engagement.
Keynote Speaker
Dr. Vassilis Monastiriotis
Economist & Economic Geographer — LSE
Vassilis Monastiriotis is an economist and economic geographer by training, specialising in Labour Economics, Economic Geography and Political Economy.
He has extensive policy engagement in all three fields, serving on expert committees and collaborating with international organisations such as the European Commission, the CEFTA Secretariat, and the EBRD.
He is a founding member of the LSE Research Unit on South Eastern Europe and is affiliated with LSE’s Department of Geography and Environment and the Hellenic Observatory.
